Cherry Harmony Festival Results 2007
The GlobeVista Australasian Cherry Pip Spitting Competition got off to the usual eventful start with slight tussle between the event organizers Jon Doust & Pam Bodsworth and a dodgy measuring tape. Of course the celebrities had to have their spits first. The event was won by none other than Jon Doust, who out spat Paul Omodei by just the slightest of margins.    Contestants from all over the State gathered at Manjimup to try and out beat last years winner, New Zealander, Michael Robertson. It was rumored one of the spitters had been practicing for months using peanuts ?????    Michael, who is unafraid of a challenge, battled it out with local winner Mark Vitler for the title of GlobeVista Australasian Pip Spitting Champion. The contest was neck and neck but the Kiwi managed a great spit of 10.4m to take out the title. |
